Waiting...

The painter is coming today to start painting Ella's new room. He was supposed to come at 8:00. But he called and is not coming till 8:30 or 9:00, which is not surprising. He did some work for us last year, and while he did a good job, he was not very punctual. He would come over for an hour before he had to go somewhere else, or he would call and say he couldn't come that day, but he'd be back the next day. So I was sort of expecting something like this to happen.

The thing is, I hate having work done in the house. It just makes me uncomfortable. I hate waiting around for the person to do whatever it is they're there to do. Especially when they are working in a part of the house that I need. He has to caulk and paint in Ella's current room, so I'm afraid that I won't be able to put her down for a nap, which will make for a long day! 

I also don't like the fact that I can't go anywhere. I certainly have days where I stay home all day, but I do like to go out. And just knowing that I can't leave is a little annoying. So hopefully he will get a lot done today and it will be over soon.

The good news is that I don't have to do it, and probably shouldn't do it anyway! And Greg has done so much already, so this will save him some time as well. I'll put up some pictures of the progress.
