Things I'm Loving Right Now

I thought it would be fun to share some of the things I can't get enough of!

Target! I go there several times a week! I buy diapers & formula and everything else baby. I also go there for clothes for the kids. I bought some maternity stuff there this year & I can't wait to start shopping for regular clothes too! I just love walking around looking at all the cute stuff. Sometimes I am at home and just need to go somewhere, so I head to Target. Definitely one of my favorite stores!

Riesling is my favorite type of wine and right before I got pregnant I discovered a new one called Clean Slate. Well a couple months ago I found this one by Barefoot. I buy their other wines & was excited to try this one. It's my new go to riesling. I can buy it at Walmart (where i do my grocery shopping) and it's inexpensive. So if you love riesling, give it a try!

Glee - the show & the music! I downloaded the soundtracks for seasons 1 & 2 the other day and I listen to them in the car. I'll be driving down the road jammin' to Proud Mary or Don't Stop Believing. This show is so awesome! I love all the music (clearly, I bought the soundtracks!) and the story is great. The season finale was so good, I can't wait til April for it to start again. I was in choir in high school, so it's fun to see a show about a glee club.

Reality TV. That's pretty much all I watch with the exception of a few shows. I love anything on Bravo. And MTV has a few good ones right now too! Here are a few of my favorites :

Each night I Tivo all my shows then watch them the next day. I always have something to look forward too!

Caramel Brulee Latte - they are the best! That's all I get from Starbucks now. I hope they keep this drink around, it seems like everyone who tries it loves it!
The angel soft sleep tee by Victoria's Secret. My MIL gave me two of these after I had Kenton. This is the most comfortable sleep shirt ever! Normally I sleep in a tank top or tee shirt, I hate sleeping in long sleeves. But the material is so lightweight and very comfortable. It doesn't make me too hot & it's not bulky nor does it bunch up. It's perfect.
So there you have a few of the little things that make me very happy at the moment!

We have snow!

We've probably got about 12-14 inches of snow and it's still coming down. Richmond is not really equipped to handle a lot of snow, so this snowfall is a big deal around here! VDOT is out trying to clear roads, and most of the main ones are clear. Some people are without power, but not as many as expected. We did not lose power, which was surprising. But we are ready with our generator if it does. Things started last night at 5 pm. Greg brought home dinner for us. But on the way he was delayed by an accident on the main road home. So he had to turn around and drive an hour out of his way back home. So the roads last night were not pretty.

Today we plan on taking Ella outside to play so more pictures to come!

For the Grandmas!

Kenton is starting to smile a lot more and is more alert during the day. When I put him in his bouncer chair he looks at the toys that are hanging down and sometimes gets really excited! He is making more cooing noises too. This video is a little long, and he's not doing much, but his grandma's will love it!

Over the past week or so we have been trying to figure out if he needs 4 or 5 ounces of formula. If we gave him 4 we thought maybe it wasn't enough. If we gave him 5 he wouldn't always finish it. But I think now we are officially at 5 ounces. Sometimes I think he would take 6! But we'll work on 5 and see how it goes. He is still pretty consistent with his sleep, he wakes up at 3 then 7. Greg gets up with him on the weekends so I can sleep. So of course this Saturday he slept from 9 to 5am! Last night he was up at 2 then at 6 this morning. He decided to change things up, but hopefully it will go back to normal tonight.

Future Electrician?

I don't know, but he sure is cute! :)

She knows what she wants

Yesterday morning Ella said she wanted strawberries, blueberries & yogurt for breakfast. And they all had to be in separate bowls. Then she pulled the granola out of the pantry and wanted it in the bowl with the blueberries.

So that's what she got!

And she loved it all!

6 weeks

This little guy is 6 weeks old!

But he's not so little anymore. He had his check up yesterday. He weighs 10 lbs 12 oz and is 22 1/4 inches! He is in the 5oth percentile for both height & weight. So in 6 weeks he has grown 3 inches and gained 2 lbs 9 oz.

He also had to have 4 shots and he was not happy! He got really fussy last night, like screaming like I've never heard him scream before. And his sleep was messed up last night, so I was very tired this morning. But he seems better today. He will go back at 4 months for another well check and more shots.

I had my doctor's appointment today and everything went well. I have been given the all clear to resume life as normal! I'm excited to start working out & getting back in shape. I'm also excited to go in the hot tub! I feel like now the whole pregnancy is really over and its time to move on. Greg is going to be my personal trainer and help me work out! I also got 2 Dancing with the Stars workout videos. I know it may be silly, but have you seen those girls? They look awesome! Hopefully I can look like that too!

Busy Week

This week will be pretty busy for me. This morning I have to have the oil changed in my car, then this afternoon I am taking Kenton for his 6 week check up. Tomorrow I have my 6 week postpartum visit. Thursday I am meeting my lovely friend Leah for lunch. And Saturday we are doing an early Christmas with Greg's family. So Friday will probably be spent getting last minute gifts & getting ready for the weekend. And sometime this week I really want to get a Christmas tree!
